At the close of 2013 I feel like it is the end of an era. Creative Memories has been in business for 26 years and I've been a consultant for 15 of those. I've always been motivated to document our life in pictures (and words) and have helped many others get started as well. About half of my business this last year was in digital sales (software, content and commissions on printed Storybooks). Unfortunately, digital is not a component of the new Ahni and Zoe. An App to help print pictures from your phone has been promised but has yet to materialize. As much as Ahni would like to reach new people that have not invested the time to scrapbook their pictures - and show them a pre-printed (done for you) easy solution....they are still viewed as a scrapbooking company (responses from the launch party....I don't scrapbook!). All the while they have alienated long-time customers that either enjoyed the white page (no longer sold) or those that liked the digital freedom of adding/deleting embellishments - digitally creating your own pages (again - no longer supported). Even the new large full size pocket sleeves are OVERSIZED - so if you wanted to slip in a 12 x 12 page using either existing supplies on hand (because Ahni and Zoe no longer sells paper, stickers, etc) or a printed digital page .....both would be swallowed in the new pocket. Even the new calendar is just UNDER 12 x 12 - wouldn't want you to display a print that you didn't purchase thru Ahni and Zoe. Digital Ahni and Zoe catalog was released via Facebook on October 21 (we are a social selling company) - in two months - I've sold ZERO of the new products....not a good sign. I have placed an initial $250 order - so I'll be an active consultant through 2014....but at this rate....I'm not too optimistic about the future of this company. Time will tell.
